Kyle is an award winning film director and experience designer. He comes from a strong VFX and post production background, most notably his work with Lucasfilm on the Star Wars franchise and the Directing to the THX trailer Amazing Life.
Kyle is the founder of the documentary film project One Day on Earth, which produced the first film made in every country of the world with the support of thousands of volunteer filmmakers, dozens of Non-Profits and the United Nations. At One Day on Earth he followed up this global effort with a PBS series on the future of the American City. More recently he directed Singapore Reimagined which was about the future of technology in Singapore. In 2019 he directed the award winning Dream Mountain about the inspirational climber Pasang Llama Sherpa Akita’s decision to continue her climbing career after having a child. Last year in collaboration with the Deloitte Futurist team he made an innovative documentary series called Brief Histories of the Future.
Kyle works consistently as a commercial director and is represented by HeLo. He is sought for his ability to combine cinematic visuals , emergent technologies, and authentic emotion. He can both manage large collaborative teams or work as a one stop shop often shooting and often editing projects himself. His clients include Minute Maid, Deloitte, Verizon, Anthem, McDonalds, Blizzard, Cheerios, 3M, EA, Lucasfilm, Lucasarts, The Ad Council, Fan Duel, United Airlines, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Cascadian Farm, and The Player’s Tribune.
Kyle is also the creator of the Magic Dance Mirror ™ an interactive augmented reality dance experience seen everywhere from E3 to Burning Man to Slam Dance. His company Kinetic Magic ™ has been creating Reflective Augmented Reality Experiences (RARE ™)for events around the world.
Kyle’s has multiple TV and technology projects in development including a series on the future of learning, a feature doc about the transition to renewable energy in conservative voting America, and an interactive augmented reality museum. When he’s not working, Kyle can be found shaping his own surfboards, foraging for culinary mushrooms and growing his own vegetables.
